Ward Public Library
The historic town of Ward is nestled in a lovely green bowl at 9,250 feet at the edge of the Indian Peaks Wilderness. The Library was built by the community of the village with many handmade touches and houses an eclectic collection of books, maps, pamphlets, and zines dating from the cultural revolution of the 60’s onward. An intimate setting for a reading. I lived in Ward for a year and both read poetry and listened to great poets there including Mike Parker, Kayanne Pickens-Solem, Ed Sanders, Andy Clausen, Jeanine Pommy-Vega and many others. Looking forward to this event in an amazing community of artists, anarchists, revolutionaries and other regular folks!

Innisfree Bookstore & Cafe
This independent bookstore is one of only three exclusively-poetry bookstores in america! creates and fosters a daily, living space for poetry lovers of all ages. The bookstore was named in honor of William Butler Yeats poem” The Isle of Innisfree” where the poet imagined himself living as Thoreau did at Walden Pond.
